About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement DCS architecture and control specifications
- Collaborate with process engineering and operations teams on control narratives and cause and effect matrices
- Participate in hazard identification workshops
- Engage with vendors to ensure equipment compatibility and manage control system integration
- Oversee factory acceptance tests (FATs), site acceptance tests (SATs), loop testing, and commissioning
- Assist with procedure development for safety instrumented systems (SIS)
- Help lead IT architecture development for the industrial site
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure, control systems, and process automation
- Experience with major DCS platforms
- Expertise in programming PLCs and/or DCS
- Ability to troubleshoot sensors, control valves, and VFDs
- Expertise in industrial control systems and risk management
- Willingness to relocate to the Houston, TX area
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of basic electrical engineering principles
- Expertise in setting up dashboards and electronic logbooks
