Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement DCS architecture and control specifications
• Collaborate with process engineering and operations teams on control narratives and cause and effect matrices
• Participate in hazard identification workshops
• Engage with vendors to ensure equipment compatibility and manage control system integration
• Oversee factory acceptance tests (FATs), site acceptance tests (SATs), loop testing, and commissioning
• Assist with procedure development for safety instrumented systems (SIS)
• Help lead IT architecture development for the industrial site

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure, control systems, and process automation
• Experience with major DCS platforms
• Expertise in programming PLCs and/or DCS
• Ability to troubleshoot sensors, control valves, and VFDs
• Expertise in industrial control systems and risk management
• Willingness to relocate to the Houston, TX area

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of basic electrical engineering principles
• Expertise in setting up dashboards and electronic logbooks
