About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and support thermal unit control firmware involving PID loops and device interactions
  • Follow full lifecycle application development including design, programming, debugging, and unit testing
  • Work with project management and scrum masters to develop test plans and execution backlogs
  • Troubleshoot existing systems and provide product testing and field startup support
  • Perform technical writing for documentation, user guides, and service guides
  • Support hardware development and manage control requirements and specifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering
  • 1+ years of experience with embedded Linux-based controls PLC firmware development
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Python, or Bash Shell
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as RS-232/485, Modbus, CANbus, I2C, or SPI
  • Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • HVAC specific knowledge
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Experience with Yocto, BitBake, or GitLab Pipelines
  • Experience with TI SoC, ARM, or x86 platforms
