About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and enhance global data center standards with a focus on Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and automation
- Review MEP drawings and electrical distribution sets to ensure EPMS design content accuracy
- Create EPMS Scopes of Work (SOW), provide RFI support, and review technical vendor proposals
- Develop and maintain controls points lists, specifications, drawing templates, and Basis of Design (BOD) documentation
- Coordinate with regional project managers to finalize project SOWs and review electrical Long Lead Equipment (LLE) submittals
- Attend Factory Witness Tests (FWTs) and Equipment Qualification Tests (EQTs) to perform point validation and device functionality testing
- Lead collaboration with construction, programmers, and MEP/ACS engineers to accomplish initiative goals
- Drive innovation in building controls and automation to support global infrastructure scaling
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a data center or other critical environment
- 3+ years of experience working with electrical diagrams, single-line diagrams, and electrical distribution systems
- 3+ years of experience working with industrial controls systems
- Experience with power monitoring and SCADA systems
- Experience with industrial communication protocols, specifically Modbus
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Experience with EPMS platforms such as Eaton Foreseer, Ignition, or Schneider PSO/PME
- Experience programming or configuring revenue-grade metering systems (ION, SEL, GE, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with utility disturbance monitoring, power quality analysis, and event capture
- Knowledge of data center facilities infrastructure including PDU, UPS, and generators
