Controlman - Fabrication (De-ox, flues, enamel)

Responsibilities

• Oversee and operate multiple pieces of fabrication equipment to ensure quality and minimize downtime
• Assist operators with troubleshooting, scrap reduction, and equipment-related issues
• Operate within a LEAN manufacturing environment and suggest process improvements
• Perform preventative maintenance on all assigned machines
• Troubleshoot process problems and monitor equipment to identify potential errors
• Inspect work to verify quality and conformance to required specifications
• Follow all standardized work, operating instructions, and safety policies, including the use of required PPE
• Complete daily 5S requirements and maintain a dependable attendance record
• Cross-train and rotate between various equipment assignments as required

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3-5 years of production or manufacturing experience
• 3-5 years of equipment operator experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow detailed oral or written instructions
• Ability to lift and move parts weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime on an as-needed basis

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of production/manufacturing experience
• 5+ years of equipment operator experience
• Practical knowledge of hand tools and their proper application
