Controller

Responsibilities

• Lead all financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and period-end close activities across multiple subsidiaries
• Prepare accurate financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow
• Manage day-to-day accounting functions including AP, AR, Payroll, and month-end/year-end close
• Establish and improve internal financial controls to ensure GAAP compliance
• Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and coordinate tax filings with external providers
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial projections
• Collaborate with brand leadership on inventory management, cost accounting, and operational KPIs
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance professionals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• 3+ years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, tax planning, and internal controls
• Experience managing teams in a multi-entity or manufacturing environment
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
• Proven success in consumer products, retail, or omni-channel businesses

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or CPA
• Experience with NetSuite
• Experience with Shopify, 3PL, DataLake, Azure, or Power BI
