Controller

Responsibilities

• Act as a finance business partner to the VP/GM, providing analysis to increase revenue, profits, and cash flow.
• Manage the organization's accounting and finance functions, including implementing policies and procedures.
• Prepare financial statements, internal/external reporting packages, and monthly rolling forecasts (P&L, Cash).
• Ensure SOX compliance, maintain internal controls, and facilitate audits.
• Oversee plant reporting systems, including inventory, labor efficiency, and material usage.
• Coordinate monthly closing processes and annual physical inventory counts.
• Manage and develop the accounting staff, including training, performance appraisals, and workload direction.
• Monitor plant performance against targets and prepare capital expenditure justifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Background in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Proven project management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage change and lead process improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification.
• Experience working within a publicly traded company.
• Proficiency with MAPICS or SAP IT systems.
