Controller

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end closing process, including journal entries and reporting for Blackmer, PSG, and Dover teams
• Perform management testing of all functions per Dover Core Internal Controls to ensure policy compliance
• Manage and develop local accounting staff and oversee overseas shared service centers (GL, AP, AR)
• Lead all audit activities, including external and internal SOX/financial audits and sales tax audits
• Drive continuous improvement of the ERP system and deploy LEAN concepts to financial processes
• Manage standard costing, material/labor overhead development, and manufacturing variance analysis
• Oversee credit and collection activities to improve DSO and current percentages
• Perform ad hoc analysis of operating performance and results

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 7+ years of related experience within the accounting field
• Strong technical skills in administration, accounting, and controlling
• Good knowledge of US GAAP
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office
• Proven leadership and management experience with the ability to develop high-performing teams

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA and/or MBA
• Experience with Oracle ERP
• Work experience in a manufacturing environment
