Controller

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close, compliance, audit, revenue, AP/AR, treasury, and payroll
• Lead and grow the existing accounting team, including hiring and development
• Build and automate controls and policies to enable scaling
• Lead major projects such as ERP and billing system implementations
• Support the executive team through fundraising and diligence
• Act as a strategic partner to FP&A, RevOps, and other department leaders

Requirements

• 10+ years of accounting experience, including Controller-level scope
• Proven experience in a fast-moving startup environment
• Deep US GAAP knowledge with hands-on ASC 606 experience
• Proficiency with modern accounting tools like QuickBooks or NetSuite
• Strong communication skills for remote or hybrid settings

Preferred Qualifications

• Big 4 or public accounting background
• CPA certification
• Experience with ASC 718 (stock-based compensation) and ASC 842 (lease accounting)
• Fintech, bookkeeping, or B2B SaaS industry experience
• Experience with ERP/financial system implementations and investor diligence
