Controller

Responsibilities

• Build the accounting function including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations
• Define accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Design and implement scalable processes for manufacturing and project development
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage the company's first external audit process
• Serve as finance lead for ERP implementation (e.g., NetSuite)
• Implement processes for capital purchases, asset capitalization, and depreciation
• Build and lead a high-performing accounting team as the company scales

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification required
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control design
• Experience leading ERP implementations or major system transitions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building an accounting function from scratch
• Exposure to inventory, cost accounting, and project-based accounting
• Experience managing a first-time financial audit
• Experience in manufacturing, clean energy, or capital project-intensive industries
