About the Company
Omega Excavation and Site Development is a locally owned company involved in projects of all sizes, from city developments to residential and commercial projects. The company operates across excavation, site development, real estate, construction, and property management divisions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, monitor, and analyze monthly and annual financial reports for the Owners
- Review bank, credit card, and cash reconciliations
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of federal, state, and local income tax returns
- Develop condo association budgets and provide monthly/quarterly analysis
- Manage the distribution of K-1s to shareholders
- Create and maintain financial controls and procedures for the accounting department
- Oversee intercompany transactions, including billing, allocations, and reconciliations
- Provide financial analysis and projections to guide strategic decisions
- Develop and analyze cost allocation for jobs and investigate variances
- Lead and mentor the accounting team through weekly meetings and performance evaluations
Requirements
- Prior experience as a controller or assistant controller
- Strong Excel skills including advanced functions and macros
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Real estate and construction industry experience
- Experience with Sage software
- Cost accounting experience
