Responsibilities

• Own all accounting operations including the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Maintain and enforce accounting policies including revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and COGS
• Manage and develop the accounting team to support continued growth
• Own the external audit relationship and ensure timely completion
• Partner with FP&A to ensure integrity of actuals for financial models and board reporting
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and cash management
• Build and maintain a strong internal controls environment
• Support tax compliance including federal, state, and international requirements
• Lead systems and tools strategy, including ERP optimization and integration with 3PL and e-commerce platforms

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 3–5 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role
• Experience with significant physical inventory (consumer hardware or CPG)
• Experience with subscription or recurring revenue models
• Deep technical GAAP knowledge
• CPA required
• Proficiency with NetSuite
• Experience scaling accounting infrastructure in a growth environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Big Four or national firm public accounting audit background
• Familiarity with 3PL integrations, Shopify, or DTC platforms
• Experience with subscription billing systems
