Controller

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Deliver reliable financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
• Manage standard costing, variance analysis, and cost roll-ups across manufacturing operations
• Monitor labor efficiency, material usage, scrap, and overhead absorption
• Design and implement internal control frameworks and ensure GAAP compliance
• Optimize cash flow, working capital, AR/AP, and inventory
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team (AP, AR, GL, payroll)
• Optimize ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics Business Central

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• 5+ years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role
• Mandatory manufacturing industry experience
• Deep expertise in cost accounting, standard costing, and inventory controls
• Proven experience leading teams of 5–15+ employees
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification strongly preferred
• MBA degree
• Experience in a private equity–backed environment
• Experience with multi-entity or multi-site operations
