Controller

Responsibilities

• Own the full monthly close cycle across a complex multi-entity portfolio, including consolidation and intercompany eliminations
• Manage daily cash positioning, payment prioritization, and weekly cash reporting to executive leadership
• Oversee AP/AR workflows and manage an offshore AP processing team
• Design and implement internal controls, documentation standards, and accounting policies
• Manage and develop staff accountants in Minnesota and Washington, as well as offshore teams
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for lenders and ownership

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with multi-entity or multi-state exposure
• Experience managing full monthly close cycles and consolidations
• Hands-on treasury and cash management experience
• Strong GAAP knowledge, including ASC 842 and revenue recognition
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or comparable platforms like NetSuite or Intacct
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Active CPA license
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as cannabis, hospitality, or restaurant groups
• Experience managing offshore accounting teams
• Experience building accounting functions in early-stage or post-restructure environments
• Advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau
