Controller

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire plant financial function, including cash flow, accounts receivable, inventory, capital assets, and accounts payable
• Act as a strategic business partner to the General Manager to support decision-making and identify cost-saving projects (OPEX)
• Prepare and review weekly forecasts and monthly financial bridges to explain variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX/Bill 198 requirements
• Lead the annual budget preparation process, collaborating with departmental managers to ensure accountability
• Manage the annual external audit process and provide necessary documentation to internal audit departments
• Oversee quarterly physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy in valuation and counts
• Lead and develop a finance team, including conducting annual performance appraisals

Requirements

• College diploma or University Accounting degree
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a decentralized manufacturing environment (automotive experience preferred)
• Proven experience managing a team of at least five direct reports
• Knowledge of Bill 198/SOX internal control requirements
• Experience working in an AS400 environment
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications

• CA, CMA, or CPA designation
