Controller

Responsibilities

• Maximize return on financial assets by establishing policies, procedures, and reporting systems
• Protect assets through internal controls and conduct audits with external auditors
• Prepare budgets, analyze variances, and report on financial condition
• Manage annual tax return preparation and partner K-1s via outside auditors
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and review CMIC accounting reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable, project job cost estimates, and quarterly P&L reviews
• Manage risk through business license renewals, insurance coverage reviews, and surety bonding
• Handle human resource functions including payroll processing via Paycor, commission calculations, and benefits administration

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance
• Experience with accounting standards and financial reporting requirements
• Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience utilizing CMIC accounting and project management software
• Experience with human resource management, compensation, and benefits
