Controller

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly and quarterly close across multiple legal entities and business lines
• Lead, develop, and hold accountable the internal and offshore accounting teams
• Manage the firm's internal control environment and coordinate quarterly SOX reporting
• Partner with the broker-dealer subsidiary's CCO and outside FINOP on standalone audits
• Coordinate the firm's 401(k) plan audit
• Oversee quarterly management-fee billing and receivables processes
• Serve as a liaison to the parent company for tax preparation and cash-flow management
• Lead the accounting systems transformation and migration to Workday

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• CPA strongly preferred
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Public accounting or external audit experience
• Direct people-management experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, wealth management, RIA, or asset management
• Experience with ERP implementations (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, Acumatica)
• Experience with Power BI or comparable BI tools
• Familiarity with SS&C/Advent, Concur, or AvidXchange
