Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate accounting of transactions and reliability of divisional financial information
• Participate in the monthly closing process, including account reconciliations and period-end analysis
• Analyze cost of goods sold, margins, and key drivers of financial performance
• Prepare monthly and annual divisional financial statements and management highlights
• Contribute to budgeting and financial forecasting, analyzing variances against actual results
• Design, implement, and monitor internal controls for financial processes
• Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and robustness
• Manage the accounting portion of SR&ED claims and related documentation
• Collaborate on year-end files and support external auditors

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• CPA designation or in progress is an asset
• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience, ideally in manufacturing, technology, or multi-entity environments
• Strong understanding of monthly closing, financial statement preparation, and budgeting
• Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, or equivalent ERP systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate financial information clearly
