Control Technician Specialist

Responsibilities

• Write, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, or Function Block
• Collaborate with engineers and automation specialists to integrate PLCs with HMIs, SCADA, and robotics
• Configure PLC hardware components, including I/O modules and communication interfaces
• Identify and resolve PLC issues including programming errors and hardware malfunctions
• Perform routine maintenance such as firmware updates and system backups
• Ensure PLC systems comply with safety standards and implement fail-safe programming

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in automotive production or Siemens TIA
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Capability to set up Siemens Systems, Bus topology, and interfaces for robots and drive systems
• Proficiency with TIA Safety tools
• Experience with cycle time optimization and root cause investigation
• Ability to write entire PLC programs for new production cells

• Knowledge of VASS 6
