About the role
Responsibilities
- Write, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, or Function Block
- Collaborate with engineers and automation specialists to integrate PLCs with HMIs, SCADA, and robotics
- Configure PLC hardware components, including I/O modules and communication interfaces
- Identify and resolve PLC issues including programming errors and hardware malfunctions
- Perform routine maintenance such as firmware updates and system backups
- Ensure PLC systems comply with safety standards and implement fail-safe programming
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in automotive production or Siemens TIA
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Capability to set up Siemens Systems, Bus topology, and interfaces for robots and drive systems
- Proficiency with TIA Safety tools
- Experience with cycle time optimization and root cause investigation
- Ability to write entire PLC programs for new production cells

- Knowledge of VASS 6
