About the role
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, set up, load, and adjust production equipment and processes
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and resolve equipment malfunctions
- Complete machine changeovers, including changing dies and manual tool configurations
- Monitor process parameters using technology such as PLCs, smart boards, and kiosks
- Proactively analyze assigned machines and processes to implement improvements
- Collaborate with quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to prepare for trials and handle scrap disposition
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety and material handling policies
- Utilize a forklift to maneuver parts, materials, and dies within the area
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred)
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing machine setup, troubleshooting, and mold change
- Knowledge of PLC and the ability to make minor adjustments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic mechanical concepts
- Ability to work with tight tolerances (+/- .0005 - .002)
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work around moving machinery, robots, and forklifts
- Capability to obtain and maintain Fork Truck certifications
- Availability to work weekends, extended hours, and shutdowns as needed
