Control Technician

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC control systems, and DDC/PLC-based solutions.
• Develop sequences of operation and prepare technical submittals, including data point schedules and control schematics.
• Integrate systems using industry-standard protocols such as BACnet/IP, BACnet MSTP, Modbus, TCP/IP, and ARCNET.
• Troubleshoot complex site issues involving wiring, field devices, and controller programming.
• Develop and configure BAS graphical interfaces and equipment graphics.
• Conduct testing and commissioning to ensure successful system demonstrations for clients.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and BMS drawings using AutoCAD and Visio.
• Coordinate with Sales, Applications, and Operations teams to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in HVAC Controls, BMS, DDC, or PLC programming.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC control systems, BAS/BMS solutions, and Chiller Plant Management systems.
• Proficiency with industry communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP, MSTP, and ARCNET.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ALC (Automated Logic Controls) products and solutions.
• Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, healthcare, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of energy management and optimization strategies within BMS environments.
