Control Systems Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with all safety, food safety, and security standards
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on automation, robotics, and control panels
• Troubleshoot out of service equipment and act as an escalation point for lower level technicians
• Document all work in the CMMS and ticketing systems
• Mentor maintenance personnel in automation, controls, and robotics
• Lead root cause analysis of major downtime events and network-wide technical issues
• Partner with engineering on commissioning new controls systems
• Audit vendor work and provide feedback on quality and SLA performance
• Write and modify PMs to standardize effectiveness across the network

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience with conveyor, automation, robotics, and PLC troubleshooting/programming
• Proficiency with communication protocols such as Profi, DeviceNet, and Ethernet TCP/IP
• Advanced understanding of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and automated processes
• Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and diagrams
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to travel up to 10% for business purposes

• Associates degree in electronic technology or equivalent
