About the role

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and monitor automation control systems, including OT Network infrastructure (servers, routers, switches, firewalls, data radios) and industrial components (PLCs, HMIs, Telemetry, and SCADA).
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with OT Network infrastructure, control systems, and electrical or mechanical components.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to design and implement automation solutions for new and existing equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and control systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instruments and associated equipment.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and software programs.
  • Provide technical training and support for operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergencies at the Fleur Water Treatment Plant within one hour of notification.

Requirements

  • Two-year accredited degree in Robotics & Automation or a similar program in industrial automation/electronics (three additional years of related experience may be substituted for the required education).
  • Minimum of five years of experience in industrial automation or electronics.
  • Proven experience working with PLCs, HMIs, telemetry equipment, and SCADA systems.
  • Proficiency in Allen Bradley/Rockwell and AVEVA software applications.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including medium voltage electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, such as schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
