About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support DCS, PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems and equipment
- Provide day-to-day support to Production and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime
- Lead the development and execution of electrical and controls projects, including upgrading obsolete technology
- Perform system start-ups, operational checkouts, configuration, wiring, and calibration
- Maintain manufacturing plant control systems at "World Class" standards and install software updates
- Participate in project teams as a site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for instrumentation and control specifications
- Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) for new equipment systems
- Troubleshoot systems using technical materials such as P&IDs, schematics, and blueprints
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related engineering field
- 5-10 years of experience in process control and automation
- 5-10 years of experience programming and configuring DeltaV, PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA software
- Proficiency with platforms such as Allen Bradley, SLC, Control Logix, Bailey, or ABB
- Strong understanding of PID controllers, process instrumentation, and feedback loops
- Familiarity with communication networks including Ethernet/IP and Modbus
- Ability to support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and address on-call requests
