Control Room Operator

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor operating parameters for two Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) through control room systems
• Monitor tunnel infrastructure systems including ventilation, lighting, and emergency box alarms
• Monitor emergency tracking systems for personnel and asset locations
• Coordinate communications between management, supervisors, and crews during operational events
• Implement emergency response procedures for accidents, fires, or equipment failures
• Document incidents, observations, and operational communications

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor multiple systems simultaneously
• Basic computer proficiency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in tunneling, mining, or construction
• Experience in industrial operations or control room environments
