About the role
Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor operating parameters for two Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) through control room systems
- Monitor tunnel infrastructure systems including ventilation, lighting, and emergency box alarms
- Monitor emergency tracking systems for personnel and asset locations
- Coordinate communications between management, supervisors, and crews during operational events
- Implement emergency response procedures for accidents, fires, or equipment failures
- Document incidents, observations, and operational communications
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor multiple systems simultaneously
- Basic computer proficiency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in tunneling, mining, or construction
- Experience in industrial operations or control room environments
