About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead coordination of all on-shift operations to ensure safe plant equipment operation during normal and emergency scenarios
- Use Distributive Control Systems (DCS) to monitor parameters and make adjustments for optimal performance
- Perform chemical analysis on steam, cooling, and condensate systems while maintaining meticulous chemistry logs
Requirements
- 10+ years of directly related experience in a power plant environment
- Deep understanding of health and safety regulations regarding hazardous energy and chemicals
- Proficiency with DCS, Microsoft Office, and specialized plant control software
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree from a technical or vocational school or relevant military service
- Advanced certifications or licensures relevant to power plant operations
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as manlifts and forklifts
