Control Room Operator

Responsibilities

• Manage systems in the control room and monitor baggage handling system conditions
• Coordinate system and operation related activities
• Report system faults and breakdowns to Maintenance Technicians to minimize downtime
• Coordinate execution of operational procedures during normal operations or system failures
• Complete handover reports during shift changes
• Maintain contact with field operations staff and stakeholders to manage daily problems
• Monitor system performance and manual encoder operator performance
• Provide technical and procedural training to manual encoding operators
• Analyze problems to determine corrective actions to prevent future occurrences

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in baggage handling systems or automated material handling industries
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain airside security clearance
• High-Level control (SAC) skills
• Software documentation and IT network knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment with noise and moving machinery
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
