Control Room Desk Operator

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor power generation systems including gas turbines, steam turbines, and HRSG
• Operate and adjust control systems to optimize plant performance and efficiency
• Coordinate dispatch instructions from the Load Dispatch Centre (LDC)
• Maintain accurate records of operational parameters and performance metrics
• Support the Shift Charge Engineer with isolations and PTW preparation
• Act as an Emergency Response Team member
• Identify and diagnose operational issues in collaboration with technical staff
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical discipline
• Minimum 5 years of total professional experience
• 3+ years of experience as a CCR Operator in O&M of Combined Cycle Power Plants
• Proficiency in English
• Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
• Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Siemens GT based CCGT experience
• Knowledge of Arabic
