About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the control panel roadmap definition and execution, including architecture standardization and design scalability.
- Develop mechanical designs for control panels, electrical enclosures, racks, hinges, and integrated electromechanical systems.
- Design mechanical layouts, sheet metal structures, mounting systems, and cable routing features.
- Perform 3D CAD modeling, detailed drawing creation, tolerance analysis, and design documentation.
- Collaborate with electrical, firmware, and software engineers to ensure robust electromechanical integration.
- Support prototype builds, engineering bring-up, debugging, and root-cause analysis for system-level issues.
- Drive DFM/DFA improvements to optimize manufacturability, reliability, cost, and serviceability.
- Partner with suppliers and manufacturing teams on fabrication feasibility and material selection.
- Maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, assembly procedures, and validation reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 7-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in enclosure development or electromechanical product development.
- Expertise in 3D CAD modeling and detailed drawing creation.
- Proficiency in GD&T and tolerance analysis.
- Strong experience with sheet metal design and structural design.
- Proven track record supporting product development cycles from concept through manufacturing release.
