About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide hardware and software design for drive, inverter, motor, and control solutions for energy and infrastructure projects
  • Interpret client specifications and apply industry codes and standards to all supplied products
  • Create equipment specifications, bills of materials, and drawings using approved tools to ensure quality standards
  • Prepare purchase specifications and ERP requisitions to maintain project schedules
  • Manage project documentation, including tracking revisions and editing drawings for manufacturing and "As-Installed" configurations
  • Develop and document software interfaces to client and third-party systems
  • Build control system software files and perform system tests and simulations
  • Provide technical instruction to commissioning engineers and clients during system installation
  • Perform on-site commissioning as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 2 years of design experience in circuit and control panel design or commissioning of industrial control systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial PLC and field I/O
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent drawing tools for industrial applications
  • Knowledge of industry standards related to control panel design, including device and cable selection
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of design experience, specifically in motor drive design or utility-scale photovoltaic inverter systems
  • Experience with electrical hardware design and electrical panel wiring/build
  • Demonstrated experience with software design for industrial PLC, distributed I/O, and HMI systems
  • Familiarity with industrial panel manufacturing and commissioning practices
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Visual Basic programming
