About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and negotiate terms and conditions for supplier contracts.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with standards, specifications, and client requirements.
  • Research and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and reputation.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and evaluate vendor proposals against budget and schedule constraints.
  • Manage the complete procurement life cycle for assigned projects, from RFP stage through final delivery and closeout.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to monitor shipments and resolve issues regarding undelivered or defective goods.
  • Assist in negotiating high-risk contracts and resolving complex or disputed contract issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in contracts and supply chain functions.
  • Proven experience with the RFP process, contract development, and negotiation.
  • Demonstrated experience working with engineers, estimators, buyers, and logistics teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on professional relationship building.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the construction industry, specifically within the federal or nuclear markets.
  • Proficiency with SAP.
