About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with head contract conditions and incorporate requirements into subcontract agreements and project delivery processes
- Support the preparation and negotiation of progress claims, variation claims, and extension of time submissions
- Evaluate and manage delay notices including weather, industrial, and design impacts affecting cost and program
- Review and administer subcontract agreements, including scope development and risk allocation
- Process subcontractor payments and ensure compliance with Security of Payments legislation
- Maintain close liaison with project delivery teams to support commercial decision-making, forecasting, and cost control
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in commerce, law, construction management, engineering, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience in commercial and contracts management within a principal contractor or major civil infrastructure environment
- Strong understanding of head contract administration, subcontract management, and risk allocation
- Proven experience managing claims, variations, extensions of time, and commercial reporting
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Sound understanding of Security of Payments legislation and industry-standard contract frameworks
- Current Driver’s Licence and ability to drive on active construction sites
