About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage all pre- and post-contract activities, ensuring full compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures
  • Administer main contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements, including monitoring obligations and key milestones
  • Review contract terms and conditions to identify potential risks, ambiguities, and deviations
  • Manage variations and change orders from initial notification through evaluation, negotiation, and agreement
  • Prepare, review, and track contractual correspondence with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Support the project team in interpreting contractual provisions and advising on rights and obligations
  • Collaborate with project controls and finance teams to align contractual, commercial, and schedule objectives
  • Monitor contractor performance against time, cost, quality, and compliance requirements
  • Assist in the preparation, evaluation, and defense of claims, including extensions of time and additional costs
  • Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with clients and third parties
  • Maintain comprehensive contract records, logs, and documentation for auditability and decision-making
  • Prepare regular reports on contract status, risks, variations, and commercial performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering
  • 15 years of progressive experience in prime contract administration on large international engineering and construction projects
  • At least 5 years of experience in Qatar or the GCC region with familiarity with local regulations
  • Solid experience with FIDIC-based contracts or other international standard forms
  • Demonstrated experience managing variations, claims, and dispute resolution on complex projects
  • Must be MME registered
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification such as MRICS, MCIArb, PMP, or equivalent
  • Experience working on major urban development, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects
  • Experience producing detailed commercial reports, dashboards, and risk registers
  • Proficiency with project management software and contract/claims management systems
