Contracts Manager

Responsibilities

• Management and supervision of site teams and subcontractors
• Management of subcontractor selection and on site progress
• Strict adherence to the highest levels of Quality and Health & Safety
• Proactively assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
• Ensure robust systems of site records for labour, plant, materials, and staff are maintained
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for variations and additions on a monthly basis
• Assist in the preparation of project final accounts
• Actively participate in site project meetings to resolve commercial matters

Requirements

• Experience working within the tunnelling industry of civil engineering
• Minimum of 3 years on-site experience
• 3 years experience working with main contractors and engineers
• Ability to read and understand technical specifications and drawings
• Detailed working knowledge of technical elements of structural steel fabrication and erection
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 18001 & CE Marking
• Competent working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and excellent Excel skills
• Ability to undertake site surveys

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years experience understanding technical specifications and drawings
• 3 years experience in contracts management
• Knowledge of construction software such as StrucCad, Strumis, AutoCAD or Tekla
• Previous Contracts Management experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 companies
