About the role
Responsibilities
- Own and manage agreements within a specified category throughout their entire lifecycle.
- Drive optimization of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead Management of Change and ongoing relationship management for all agreements.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers while aligning with internal stakeholders.
- Monitor supplier performance and troubleshoot contract or performance-related issues.
- Ensure contract compliance, utilization, and transactional efficiency through Requisition to Pay (RtP) processes.
- Develop market expertise to identify efficiencies by analyzing leakage, overheads, and third-party markups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant experience stream with a minimum 6 CGPA.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in contracting, negotiation, vendor management, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Proven experience contracting within Transportation & Logistics (rail/road/marine/aviation) or Warehousing.
- Demonstrated experience managing a minimum annual spend of $1M.
- Strong negotiation skills with proven commercial acumen and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Procurement experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
- International business exposure and experience with competitive bids, RFIs, and auctions.
- Strong understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles and P2P processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement technologies.
- Ability to lead through informal authority and influence at all organizational levels.
