About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, negotiate, and execute contracts for chemical products across APAC, EMEA, and North America
- Drive value and market advantage through end-to-end category management and strategic sourcing
- Develop comprehensive agreements for chemical products and associated services to optimize cost-efficiency
- Manage the complete contract lifecycle, including bids, renewals, amendments, and Statement of Work drafting
- Monitor global chemical markets to anticipate price fluctuations, supply disruptions, and technological changes
- Perform spend management by analyzing expenditure patterns to identify opportunities for consolidation and demand management
- Ensure all contracts comply with corporate standards and regional regulatory, trade, and compliance requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a relevant experience stream (minimum 6 CGPA)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in chemical products contracting, negotiation, or strategic sourcing
- Proven experience in the Oil & Gas, petrochemicals, or chemical manufacturing industries
- Experience managing a minimum annual spend of $1M
- Expertise in contracting categories such as fuel additives, specialized process chemicals, polymers, or industrial gases
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing global contracts across multiple regions (APAC, EMEA, and Americas)
- Strong understanding of chemical product specifications, safety, and handling regulations
- Knowledge of international trade, Incoterms, and chemical logistics
- Proficiency in Procure to Pay (P2P) processes and ERP systems
- Analytical skills related to Total System Cost (TSC) or Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles
