Contracts Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert on research contracting arrangements for the Office of Research.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate complex funding agreements, including industry-sponsored projects, FAR contracts, and international contracts.
• Assist with the review of option and license agreements for the Innovation & Entrepreneurship team.
• Monitor existing agreements to ensure ongoing contractual compliance.
• Assess business and legal risks and make independent decisions to address cross-cutting issues.
• Interpret and apply complicated rules, regulations, and policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the area of specialization.
• Three years of experience directly related to the specialty area (relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis).
• Proven ability to assess business and legal risk and exercise sound judgment.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects and establishing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• JD or Master's degree in a related field.
