Contracts Advisor/Category Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support contracting requests for various operating companies across Chevron, including drafting, negotiating, and executing International Master Agreements and Professional Services agreements.
• Develop annual Category Plans, Contracting Plans, and cost improvement targets.
• Monitor the execution of the Category and Contracting Plan throughout the contract life cycle, including managing renewals and modifications.
• Review, analyze, and redline contracts, amendments, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Negotiate terms with new and existing suppliers in collaboration with legal counsel.
• Identify and drive common policies and best practices to achieve cost savings and process simplicity.
• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders through formal reports and meetings.

Requirements

• Experience in Contracting and/or Category Management.
• Proven experience in creating, renewing, and negotiating contracts with diverse suppliers.
• Strong technical and commercial analysis skills to ensure optimal procurement conditions.
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced English fluency.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-discipline and multi-cultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in supplier relationship management, portfolio rationalization, and consolidation.
• Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking to complex contracts and contracting principles.
• Strong understanding of business drivers and the ability to develop execution plans to meet objectives.
