Contracting Counsel Associate Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations and support a portfolio of complex IT deals across South East Asia
• Advise deal teams on shaping business opportunities and developing effective negotiating strategies
• Collaborate with finance, solution, and commercial teams to architect workable solutions and manage transaction issues
• Manage the escalation process for key legal and commercial risks
• Prepare briefings for legal and business approvers and other key stakeholders
• Oversee, counsel, and guide other members of the legal team and manage external legal support

Requirements

• 8-11 years of post-qualifying legal experience
• Admitted to the Singapore Bar
• Proven experience in complex commercial transactions with high levels of transactional responsibility
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to lead contract discussions directly with senior client counsel
• Demonstrated ability to lead legal support for complex systems integration, outsourcing, and technology transactions
• Strong business and commercial acumen with a solutions-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a law firm or a fast-paced corporate legal group for an IT services vendor
• Knowledge of or experience with SaaS, cloud, or Gen/Agentic AI transactions
• Understanding of Singapore Government procurement processes
