Contracting Analytics Specialist

Responsibilities

• Build and model third-party payer contract reimbursement terms for Managed Care Commercial, Government, and Medicare Advantage programs.
• Perform financial analyses to determine revenue and operating margin changes for hospitals, physicians, and ancillary providers.
• Interpret analytical models to support long-term financial goals and assist in contract negotiations.
• Run historical trend analyses and future performance modeling to support strategic decision-making.
• Maintain and audit contract management system rate calculations to ensure accuracy against expected terms.
• Provide strategic pricing analysis and market comparisons to support payer rate parity and transparency.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop presentation materials for executive committees and the Board.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
• 3+ years of healthcare financial analysis experience, specifically involving data models and managed care.
• Detailed knowledge of hospital and physician reimbursement methodologies, including Fee-for-Service (FFS) and Value-Based Care (VBC).
• Proficient understanding of MS-DRG, APC, EAPG, case rate, and stoploss methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Revenue Code and CPT coding in clinical and hospital settings.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NThrive/FinThrive contract management and modeling tools.
• Proficiency in SQL database management.
• Experience with Tableau for data visualization.
• Background working in large academic medical centers, multi-facility health systems, or insurer environments.
