Contract Structures Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on airframes, including minor and major repairs, modifications, and fabrication of structural parts
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and repair drawings to determine repair methods
• Use hand and power tools to cut, drill, assemble, and install aircraft structural components using aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and composites
• Inspect for damage, corrosion, and wear, and take corrective action to restore structural integrity
• Complete documentation and maintenance records to comply with regulatory and company requirements
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment adhering to safety protocols and quality standards

Requirements

• High School/GED
• 2-3 years of experience working on aircraft structures
• Ability to use technical data and aircraft drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Knowledge of welding, riveting, cutting, and drilling techniques
• Understanding of FAA regulations and aviation safety codes

Preferred Qualifications

• A&P license or structures experience
• Repairman's certificate
• MRO experience
