About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the company representative with the client during program execution
- Assist client Contracting Officers with procurement support for expanding construction programs
- Prepare acquisitions in adherence to FAR, OMB, and GAO principles
- Generate and review solicitation documents, including RFPs, contracts, modifications, and sole source justifications
- Review Statements of Work (SOW) and Independent Government Estimates (IGE) for accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Review client contracts to identify risks and ensure conformity with company policy
- Propose alternative language and clauses to client contracts based on sound contracting approaches
- Monitor and administer business provisions of prime contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions
- Participate in resolving prime contract problems according to prescribed project procedures
Requirements
- 10+ years of Federal contracting experience, specifically with high-value construction and design-build contracts
- BS Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Contract Management, or a related field
- Level III DAWIA/FAC-C or FAC-C Professional certification
- Deep knowledge of various contracting types including FFP, IDIQ, T&M, Design-Build, and A/E contracts
- Proficiency with software including Service Now, PRISM, Microsoft SharePoint, SAM.gov, and Costpoint
- US Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Previously held a Contracting Officer’s warrant
- Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity on a project
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong soft skills for working effectively within a Federal client team
