Contract Proposal Manager

Red 6 is an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) technology startup leading the way in synthetic air combat training. Their primary technology enables pilots to simulate the cognitive challenges of flying while accessing realistic, scalable training in dynamic outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end proposal process from DRFP through final RFP submission
• Lead proposal kick-off, develop compliance matrices, outlines, and schedules
• Write, edit, and manage proposal volumes including technical, management, past performance, and cost narratives
• Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, finance, contracts, and leadership to gather inputs
• Serve as the single point of accountability for proposal quality, compliance, and submission

Requirements

• 15+ years of hands-on DoD proposal management experience
• Deep familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and DoD procurement processes
• Experience managing proposals for Air Force, Army, Navy, SOCOM, or other DoD agencies
• Strong working knowledge of RFP/RFQ/BAA/SBIR/STTR structures
• Excellent written communication skills for translating technical concepts into narratives
• Experience with proposal tools such as GovWin, GOVSHP, or Privia

Preferred Qualifications

• APMP certification
• Active security clearance
