Contract Analyst

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and finalize terms for industry and government-funded clinical trial, research service, data use, non-disclosure, and material transfer agreements.
• Review, interpret, and draft agreements within established legal, financial, and risk management guidelines to protect university interests.
• Redline agreements including master agreements, research service agreements, and clinical trial agreements.
• Foster and maintain professional relationships with corporate biomedical and healthcare sponsors.
• Provide high-quality service to Principal Investigators (PI) while balancing university and industry interests.
• Manage extensions of existing contracts and agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 2 years of clinical trial agreement review and negotiation experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of FDA, GCP, HIPAA, and ICH regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in an academic setting.
• Background in contract management, paralegal work, or comparable legal experience.
• Proven track record as a skilled negotiator.
• Working knowledge of intellectual property, indemnity, and university-industry clinical trial provisions.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
