Continuous Improvement Engineer

Responsibilities

• Value Stream Mapping, time studies, leading Kaizen events, and creating Standard Work
• Develop PFD, FMEA, Control Plan, and Job Element Sheets
• Conduct root cause analysis using 5-Why, Cause and Effect Diagram, and A3 tools
• Identify and eliminate waste through lean manufacturing principles
• Create and maintain preventive maintenance checklists and schedules
• Develop training documents and maintain the training matrix
• Assist with AFE reports to support capital project justification
• Conduct audits, write reports, and follow up on non-conformances
• Function as Quality Assurance representative for CAPAs, Deviations, and Validations
• Support quality document creation for new product launches and respond to customer complaints

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Toyota Production Systems or manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of drawings, specifications, and standards
• Familiarity with machined parts and manufacturing processes
• Understanding of lean principles and statistical tools

Preferred Qualifications

• CQE certification
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Quality Engineer certification through ASQ
• ISO-9000 and/or TS-16949 Quality System experience
