Context Engineer-II

Responsibilities

• Support the design, implementation, maintenance, and governance of the enterprise semantic layer for Commercial data strategy
• Develop and maintain ontological models representing Commercial domain knowledge structures
• Design and maintain taxonomy frameworks and classification structures for Commercial content and data assets
• Build and govern the Commercial business glossary, ensuring consistent definitions and KPIs
• Establish metadata management practices including ownership, lineage, and quality expectations
• Maintain the business context layer to translate technical structures into business-ready representations
• Maintain semantic mappings between business concepts, glossary terms, and data models
• Operate semantic governance processes for ontologies, taxonomies, and metadata standards
• Partner with data architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to resolve semantic ambiguity
• Support compliance-aware documentation within a regulated life sciences environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Life Sciences, Data Science, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data management, information architecture, or semantic modeling
• Hands-on exposure to ontology development, taxonomy design, or business glossary management
• Familiarity with Commercial data domains and pharma data ecosystems (e.g., Veeva, IQVIA)
• Strong documentation and analytical thinking skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Information Architecture, Knowledge Engineering, or related discipline
• Experience with AI context engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) concepts
• Familiarity with semantic technologies (RDF/RDFS, OWL, SPARQL, SKOS, JSON-LD)
• Experience with data governance platforms like Collibra, Alation, or Microsoft Purview
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, dbt, Snowflake, or Databricks
• Certifications such as DAMA CDMP or cloud-specific data credentials
