Content Writer

Responsibilities

• Write news stories regarding new grants and scholarships received by faculty, staff, and students
• Create profiles on faculty members highlighting awards, research projects, or innovative teaching techniques
• Investigate and report on innovations within Academic Affairs service functions, such as the library and labs
• Source and produce engaging student profiles to interest prospective students
• Scout alumni for potential profiles to encourage recruitment and engagement
• Craft social media posts and assist with the development of Admission recruitment materials
• Coordinate with the visual team to manage art for all produced content
• Maintain a content list of facts and imagery for campus recruitment displays

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of professional experience writing published news stories, features, press releases, or marketing materials
• Proven ability to build source relationships and engage in feature writing
• Must submit a cover letter, resume, and portfolio for consideration

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, or Literature
• Strong organizational skills and exemplary news judgment
