Content Writer (Crypto)

Responsibilities

• Write quick-turn blog posts that break down daily crypto news
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to document criminal crypto activity
• Contribute to biannual flagship reports on crypto crime and the global on-chain economy
• Develop long-term content ideas alongside Research and Marketing teams
• Investigate complex trends across DeFi and mainstream crypto adoption
• Use Chainalysis' investigative tools to strengthen storytelling
• Own the accuracy of work from sourcing through to publication

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional writing experience, ideally in a newsroom or editorial environment
• Demonstrated ability to explain complex financial, technical, or regulatory topics in plain language
• Working knowledge of the crypto industry, including blockchains, exchanges, DeFi, and stablecoins
• Experience adapting tone and voice for distinct audiences like policymakers and compliance professionals
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications, or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfort navigating a block explorer
• Experience writing SQL or similar queries
• Experience growing an audience on social media for a brand or publication
