Content Producer

Responsibilities

• Produce, write, and edit engaging news segments and daily content for all platforms.
• Plan, script, and produce segments specifically tailored for streaming audiences.
• Collaborate with managers, the digital team, and the assignment desk to ensure fair and accurate local news coverage.
• Take charge of major headlines and weather through innovative storytelling and showcasing.
• Contribute creative ideas for stories based on the Telemundo Nuevo México News Strategy.
• Innovate by participating in both short-form and long-form projects for streaming channels.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in newsgathering and/or production.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in writing, producing, and using desktop editing systems.
• Experience line-producing newscasts.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to make priority decisions under tight deadlines and deliver news as it develops.
• Must be willing to work on-site in Albuquerque, NM.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in non-linear video editing for news packages, interviews, and enterprise stories.
• Experience producing content on a wheel and managing content refreshes for live broadcasts.
• Familiarity with digital and streaming platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitch.
• Strong news judgment and situational awareness regarding local news and weather.
