Content Localization Editor, Math Education Videos, British English

Responsibilities

• Review IXL math video content and suggest adaptations for the UK edition
• Ensure correct British English spelling, punctuation, grammar, and terminology
• Adapt content for cultural relevance to avoid US-centrism for UK students
• Verify grade-level appropriateness and adherence to IXL style guides
• Ensure pedagogical relevance according to UK teaching conventions
• Maintain overall quality and consistency of math content for the UK market
• Respond to queries regarding British English, cultural customs, and math curriculum

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in a relevant field and prior experience in a related role
• Impeccable knowledge of British English linguistic conventions
• Experience as a math teacher within the UK education system (primary or secondary)
• Extensive knowledge of UK pedagogy and teaching methodologies
• Strong understanding of UK culture and customs
• Proficiency in Google Docs and Google Sheets
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage a queue of assignments efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or background in English education in the UK
