Content Engineer, Developer Documentation

Responsibilities

• Own documentation for assigned products from initial requirements through publication and long-term maintenance, including getting started guides, conceptual docs, SDK/API references, and troubleshooting.
• Build and evolve the docs-as-code platform, improving repository structure, build/publish workflows, templates, and CI checks.
• Partner closely with engineers, product managers, QA, and support to extract technical knowledge and validate accuracy.
• Automate reference documentation and implement CI guardrails to prevent recurring defects.
• Identify documentation gaps and quality issues, driving closure through both content fixes and tooling improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a proven track record in technical writing or documentation engineering.
• 5+ years of overall professional experience.
• Proficiency in docs-as-code environments using Git-based workflows.
• Experience with Markdown or reStructuredText.
• Strong information architecture and content design skills.
• Ability to collaborate with deeply technical partners and work independently across multiple repositories.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience documenting APIs, SDKs, developer workflows, or infrastructure-level products.
• Experience maintaining large-scale documentation platforms or static site generators (e.g., Sphinx, Fern).
• Basic scripting or automation experience in Python or JavaScript applied to documentation pipelines or validation.
